Unlike the one piece longbow, the Dakota Longbow is a three piece takedown model.  This unique bow was built to accommodate those who had the desire to shoot a longbow but at the same time didn�t like the performance, as well as dealing with hand shock and not enough mass weight to hold the bow still at full draw.  With the Dakota Longbow you will no longer have to deal with the lack of control of the old style longbow.  The design of the Dakota Longbow puts just the right amount of mass weight in your hand for a rock solid draw and a controlled release. Dakota Bow Risers

• Our Risers are designed and engineered with the concept of being more accurate and less critical to shoot while being extremely comfortable in the hand.
• We recommend a moderate brace height to allow for arm clearance during the shot.
• The shelf is cut and 1/8� past center and shaped to proved the least amount of resistance and maximum clearance needed for clean arrow flight.

All Dakota Bows are designed to have take-down capability. Designed and built to put at ease the minds of those who are leery of purchasing a takedown bow.  Our takedown bows are absolutely as rigid and stable as any one piece bow.  The advantages over a one piece are:

�        Over all mass weight of the bow � which makes for a more consistent shooting bow.

�        Disassemble for ease of travel and compactness.

We custom shape the grip to fit your needs.

Proper grip is critical to consistent shooting.  Low, medium or high wrist to best suite your shooting style. Thick or narrow grip, smooth faced or finger grooved that fits you like a glove.

The most expensive and time consuming of your bows construction.  Tapered wood strips and wedges from the wood of your choice and fiberglass laminated together under a heating process, then shaped with a superflex design that gives the Dakota Bow its major performance edge.
